Ban'thula Parents comment:

Conversations with parents and grandparents:

Rraminba, Ban'thay, Ganalarritj, Gambika and Gulthana.

"We think school is important for the future. We need more families living here."

"Children like living in the Home-lands, but there are many activities in the mission like basketball, take-away and Disco that take children away."

"In the mission there are too many Yolŋu, kids fighting too much, too many clans, too many break-ins, petrol sniffing, kids don't listen their parens. In the main school there is too much teasing, our kids do not like going that that school."

"Family have less control in the mission, and kids get what they want. In the homelands are free, and well behaved."
